Casting Foundry / Gate Screens
Casting gate or skim gate filters are pressed from galvanised steel, steel or stainless steel wire mesh using dedicated tooling to achieve each customer's specific requirements.
The wire mesh filters prevent contaminants in the liquid alloy such as air bubbles, oxides and other inclusions from entering the main casting; thereby greatly enhancing the intrinsic appearance and strength of the finished product.
The most common applications of wire mesh casting foundry/gate screens are steel castings such as engine blocks and alloy wheel casting plants.
